When should I arrive for the race?
The time you choose to arrive depends on the size of the event. If you're not worried about where to sit, for a typical Friday evening you would probably want to arrive at least 30-45 minutes before the green flag flies to get settled in, have a look at the displays and check out the concession stand and souvenir booth. For larger special events an earlier arrival may be recommended.
Where should I sit?
Anywhere you like! Delaware Speedway has both grandstands and plenty of grass lawn chair seating. There is also a fully licensed beer patio with railings and standing room. Reserved seating is also available by contacting the speedway office.
Is there camping available?
Yes, there is free, unserviced camping located behind the back straightaway for your convenience. Campers can be found there on most race nights, but especially on two-day or 3-day race weekends. Bring the camper and do some bench racing this weekend!
What is the speedway's policy on outside food and drink? Can I bring my cooler?
For the comfort and safety of our guests, Delaware Speedway has the following policies:
1. No Outside Alcohol is permitted anywhere on the Speedway Property including the parking area and Pits.
2. Only beverages in their original sealed containers (no glass) not exceeding 1 liter in size will be allowed to be brought into the speedway.
3. All open containers will be confiscated by track security. Please leave them in your car.
4. Thermos containers of any kind will no longer be allowed into the speedway.
5. Only personal size coolers will be permitted.
6. For the safety of all guests, all purses, bags, back packs and coolers are subject to search by Delaware Security Staff.
What about pets?
Sorry, absolutely no pets are allowed inside the race track. The only exception to this rule is for service animals.
Is there anything else I should bring?
Some things that might make your stay more enjoyable - binoculars, sunglasses, baseball hat, portable radio (88.1 FM is the track radio feed). On sunny afternoons be sure to bring some sunscreen.
What is there to eat at the track?
Delaware Speedway offers a full concession with many different food and beverage choices, including Maple Leaf hot dogs and hamburgers, Domino's Pizza and Delaware Speedway's famous French fries, among other things. Delaware Speedway proudly serves Coca-Cola beverages.
What if it rains?
In the event of a sudden shower, the program will be temporarily suspended. However, every effort will be made to complete the full racing program after the rain stops. Of course, this means that there will be some time allowed to see if the rain does indeed come to an end, so it's a good idea not to leave right away. If, in the opinion of Delaware officials, the bad weather will serve to prevent the resumption of safe racing conditions within a reasonable amount of time, the remaining races will be postponed or cancelled as follows:
a) Four race events or less is considered a rain out. In this case, your ticket stub will be redeemable for another race event held at Delaware Speedway in the current season, good for 100% of the value of your ticket.
b) If a portion or all of qualifying events are completed, your ticket stub will entitle you to 50% of the value of your ticket for another race event held at Delaware Speedway in the current season.
c) If any Feature race is completed (50% of advertised feature laps is considered a complete race) the race program will be considered complete with remaining feature events (if any) to be completed at the beginning of the following week's show
Note: If you leave the track thinking the program might get rained out, your rain checks are of no value to you if the program ends up being completed after the delay. Because many fans, participants, sponsors and staff travel great distances to attend the events (and because there are a limited number of dates to accommodate the schedule), every effort will be made to complete the program as advertised.
Is Delaware Speedway wheelchair accessible?
Yes, there are accessible parking spaces at the top of the hill by the front gate, and designated open space above the main grandstand. Companions should bring a lawn chair to use this space. Washrooms are also accessible. It is also worth noting that the entire upper level of the facility (spectator hill) is easily accessible and provides a great variety of possible views.
Is there parking on site?
There is plenty of free parking available on the grounds at Delaware Speedway.
Can I use my bank card or credit card to buy tickets at the track?
Yes - - Delaware Speedway is pleased to offer debit and credit card service at the front gate.
Can I use my bank card or credit card to buy food at the track?
Yes - - Delaware Speedway is pleased to offer debit and credit card purchases at the food concessions.
Are there any group ticket discounts?
Group ticket discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. Contact the speedway, or e-mail [email protected] for more information.

Yes. Announcements can be put in the announcement box at the base of the tower. As well, you can pre-submit an announcement at [email protected].

What Information do we collect? How do we use it?
When ordering from our website, Delaware Speedway must collect the purchaser's name, email address, mailing address, credit card number, and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill the order. Delaware Speedway may use the information collected to notify our customers about important changes to their purchase (where applicable), or about upcoming special events and offers at Delaware Speedway.
